Name of hotel’s restaurant “1906” derives from historical facts; this was the year the hotel was built and the train connection between Bled and Trieste constructed. Today, restaurant 1906 with its chef, Aleš Fende, presents a leading force in the town’s culinary experiences; reviving traditional dishes with a modern twist, offering wine tastings in hotel’s private wine cellar, organizing cooking classes & culinary theme events. These are just some of the activities that share one common thread – tasting Slovene dishes and bringing visitors closer to the local way of life. We wish to enable every visitor with a superb culinary experience, therefore we offer a seasonal menu. This way we can provide fresh dishes based on the season and local ingredients. In autumn-winter of 2022-23 we will host you with 2 exchanging dinner menus: Tradition & Selection, each with its own story and theme. You may always check the daily menu on our webiste. Every evening we also serve the vegan menu Vert. Besides dinner you are welcome to visit us for lunch (12pm to 3pm) with “Railroader’s 3-course menu” made entirely from ingredients by providers, certified by Bled Local Selection brand. We serve lunch every Saturday, Sunday & on National holidays. Inspiration for our creations comes from the beautiful environment in which we live in & from stories about food which are still alive in Hotel Triglav for over 100 years. From the daily menu you can choose min 3 and max 8 courses. For an 8-course dinner we request arrival at 18:00. We are ready to host you with a longer gourmet adventure when requested in advance. In warmer months we will serve you on our terrace with the most wonderful view of Lake Bled and surrounding mountains. For those requiring more privacy we will arrange a table in the room with a fireplace or in the wine club, where no one will disturb your meeting. In front of our wine cellar, there is a very private garden where you can also indulge in a cup of coffee, snack, cocktail, glass of Slovenian wine & enjoy some peace and quiet. Opening hours (valid from Oct 3rd 2022): Monday – Friday 18:00 - 22:00 Saturday, Sunday & National Holidays 12:00 - 15:00 18:00 - 22:00 For groups of 6 people or more with preliminary reservations we open the restaurant also outside of the working hours. Last order each day is available at 21:00, therefore we ask for your latest arrival between 20:30-20:45. Opening hours of the restaurant may change.
